J.A.M. Fest

Jana’s Art and Music Festival in Downtown State College.

J.A.M. Fest is a community-wide mental wellness day designed to help increase well-being, build connections, and foster self-expression. Held annually in downtown State College, the event features live music, yoga, meditation, stations for creative expression, artwork to view, and more.

Art, music, and creative expression are lifelong sources of resilience, self-confidence, and happiness – so save the date for this fun-filled event.

Bike Craft with Centre Bikes and the State College Municipal Building
Decorate a wooden bike ornaments! Using paint, markers, glitter, etc. you’ll be able to make a bike ornament that showcases your personality!

Bracelet Making by PeerStar, LLC.
Individuals will choose a “word” that inspires them for the future. The word will be stamped onto a washer and made into a bracelet to serve as a reminder to keep moving forward.

Compliments by Centre Safe
Stop by the Centre Safe table to pick up a compliment card to take and/or fill out for someone else and help spread positive, uplifting messages around! This is the perfect activity for both kids and grown-ups.

Kazoo Making by Doing Good With Wood
Doing Good with Wood will engage passersby in the creation of simple wooden kazoos, and in playing them together. Stop by, say hi, make a kazoo, and play your kazoo with fun people you’ll meet there.

The Philosophy of Hope Concert is coming on Saturday, September 21, 2019 to the State Theatre to benefit the Jana Marie Foundation. Take Flight by Jana Marie Foundation:
The Stompers Project® by Jana Marie Foundation breaks down barriers and stomps out the stigmas that surround mental and emotional health. Our first public Stomper creation, Take Flight, worked with Park Forest Middle School students and teachers to highlight ways we can reduce stress.  One student said, “this project reminds us to let your dreams and life take flight, but remain grounded and remember where you came from.” Join us in ‘taking flight’ today through this unique activity.

Writing Messages of Hope and Inspiration by Centre LGBTQA Support Network
Stop on by the Centre LGBTQA Support Network table to write messages of hope and inspiration for their youth group. This simple gesture is sure to bring smiles to the faces of youth in our community!
