Annual Dinner

March 26, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$50

Join us on March 26, 2021!

Jana Marie Foundation is excited to announce a fun, safe, and engaging way to build community and learn about the impacts of mental health. On Friday, March 26, 2021 Jana Marie Foundation’s annual dinner, “A Night to Remember, A Cause to Believe In,” will take on a whole new look. Historically, this event is the foundation’s largest fundraising activity and helps provide us with the funds necessary to continue our work in casting a wide safety net for young people in our community. We recognize that this year it will look different, but we are excited to announce it will include dinner and a show from the comfort of your home!

Let your creativity shine by cooking a simple pasta dinner alongside Jana Marie Foundation! By purchasing a ticket, you will receive a take-home meal kit that will provide you with the items necessary to cook a simple pasta meal – in 30 minutes or less!  Join us at 6pm and members from our dedicated staff will entertain us as we cook and build community together.

Then, thanks to the generosity of Blake and Linda Gall, we will sit down together (virtually) to enjoy a performance of She’s crazy: Mental Health and Other Myths. This cabaret style performance, written by Sherry McCamley, Erin McCamley, and Cathy Springfield, will entertain, educate, and inspire us all to continue to make a difference.

Meal kit will include:

  • Fettucine (Fasta & Ravioli Co.)
  • Bread (Gemelli Bakery)
  • Canned tomatoes
  • Kalamata Olives
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Cookies (Sweet Tooth Bakery)
  • Spices (Pizza Spice Packet LLC)

Some ingredients may change based on availability. Each meal kit will feed up to 4 people.  Meal Kits can be picked up from Jana Marie Foundation’s office on Friday, March 26 from 1pm – 5:30pm.

About She’s Crazy: Mental Health and Other Myths

Back by popular demand! A production that is Entertaining, Impactful and Important…

She‘s Crazy: Mental Health & Other Myths is musical theater edutainment that educates, uplifts, and inspires audiences to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Topics addressed include depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, PTSD, and suicide. Mental health disorders are much more common than most people think, and have biological, genetic, and environmental causes. 1 in 4 Americans suffer from mental illness—that’s 62 million people. She’s Crazy takes a very unique approach to this very relevant topic. Through humor, personal stories and songs, She’s Crazy has brought healing and hope to audiences since 2015.

“A cabaret about mental health could be hokey. It could be insensitive. Or it could be raw, honest and brave. She’s Crazy (Mental Health and Other Myths), the latest creation from “Two Feisty Broads,” is one of the most moving things I’ve seen on stage this season.”

–Kirk Shepherd, The Sappy Critic

Part cabaret and part improvisational theater, She’s Crazy: Mental Health and Other Myths uses original music and personal stories to inform as well as entertain. The audience is an integral and active part of the show which brings issues of mental health to the forefront of community dialogue.

“The performers strike just the right balance of respect for a serious subject and humor, which lightens the mood. Their personal authority and compassion shine through…It’s hard to imagine anyone not gaining courage and hope from this production.”

–National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Blog
