Jana Marie Foundation has teamed up with the Centre Daily Times and New Leaf Initiative to host a series of community conversations called Mokita™ Dialogues. The purpose behind these community brown bag luncheon discussions is to allow individuals throughout Centre County to come together and talk – for a change. Not only will these discussions highlight topics of vital interest – elephants in the room – but it will provide opportunities for follow-up and action.
The sessions are held at noon on the fourth Thursday of every month at New Leaf Initiative (State College Municipal Building, 243 S Allen Street, Suite 337, State College, PA). Each Mokita™ Dialogue session is led by a different facilitator from through the community and includes a brief presentation, engaging activities that encourage thought and conversation, and suggestions for ways to continue the discussion.
It is time to come together to acknowledge the ‘elephants’ that exist across our community and how we can address them. These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn, to listen and to be engaged in finding solutions for these important issue.
