Straight Talk: Inclusive Excellence

Mount Nittany Middle School 656 Brandywine Drive, State College

Have you ever talked to your kids about race or racism? Do you believe it is an important conversation to have? Come find out about how not having this conversation can send a clear message to kids that the topic is taboo and off limits. Participants will leave the workshop with conversation starters, a list of books to help learn more about diversity, and an awareness of why the topic is important to talk with kids about. Join Carlos Wiley, Director of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center for this engaging Straight Talk Session.
