In the digital age, approximately 91% of teens use their mobile phones to go online and access social media accounts. Teens are faced with a variety of societal pressures including maintaining their online presence. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the different types and forms of online communication (texting, IM messaging, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tinder...) as well as how your teen is dealing with a variety of transitions, relationships, cyberbullying, self-image, and everyday loss. The presenters will also provide tips on how to communicate with your teen regarding their online presence. Attendees will be encouraged to participate.
